International Trade

Overview

Trade Offices

The Conference manages a network of eleven shared international trade offices on behalf of its member States and Provinces.  These offices offer responsive and comprehensive services to small and medium sized companies from the Great Lakes region seeking to expand international product and service sales.  The offices are located in some of the world's most dynamic and fastest growing business centers and provide market access in over 84 countries:

Trade Missions

Each year, the Conference leads multi-State and Provincial trade missions to assist small to medium sized companies from the Great Lakes region to export their products and services.  Trade missions are an excellent way for companies to visit international markets as part of an organized group of business people.  The Conference has led more than a dozen trade missions since 2004 with over 330 participating companies and organizations.  For more information on past Conference trade missions click here.  For trade mission testimonials, click here.

Trade Policy

The Great Lakes Governors and Premiers aim to make the region’s economy stronger and a bigger player on the global economic stage.  At the Conference’s 2013 Leadership Summit, they called for expanded international trade and export opportunities.  For more information on the Conference's economic development work click here.  To view the Governors' and Premiers' trade policy resolution click here.
